The Bently Nevada 3500/22-01-01-01 Transient Data Interface (TDI) is a powerful device that plays a vital role in industrial applications. Here are the key features and functions of the transient data interface:
Functional Overview:
The TDI combines the functionality of the 3500/20 Rack Interface Module (RIM) with the data collection capabilities of a communications processor such as TDXnet.
It continuously collects steady-state and transient waveform data and transmits this data over an Ethernet link to host software such as System1* Condition Monitoring and Diagnostics Software and 3500 System Configuration Software.
Data Collection Capabilities:
The TDI has standard static data collection capabilities.
By using the optional channel enable disk, the TDI can also capture dynamic and high-resolution transient data, which allows users to have a more complete understanding of the operating status of the equipment.
System Integration and Compatibility:
The TDI integrates the communications processor functionality within the 3500 rack, simplifying the system architecture and reducing costs.
One TDI or RIM is required for each 3500 rack and it always occupies slot 1 of the rack (near the power supply).
The TDI is compatible with a wide range of devices and software, such as the M-Series displays (e.g., 3500/40M and 3500/42M), as well as other Bently Nevada products and solutions.
Technical Specifications:
The TDI features a USB-B front panel, 10Base-T or 100Base-TX Ethernet auto-sensing capability, a 100Base-FX fiber optic Ethernet interface, and a rack reset button.
Input/output support includes RS232 serial communications, 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX Ethernet interfaces.
Application Environment:
For Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) applications, the 3500 system requires the TMR version of the TDI. In addition to all the features of the standard TDI, the TMR TDI also features a "monitor channel comparison function" that continuously compares the outputs of three redundant monitors and issues an error indication when an inconsistency is detected.
Summary:
Bently Nevada 3500/22-01-01-01 TDI is a comprehensive and highly compatible transient data interface. It can not only collect steady-state and transient data of equipment in real time, but also provides a variety of communication interfaces and expansion options to meet the needs of different industrial applications.
