125768-01 Bently Nevada RIM I/O module is part of the Bently Nevada 3500 series
125768-01 Bently Nevada RIM I/O module is part of the Bently Nevada 3500 series monitoring system. It is an electronic device used to connect external sensors, instruments, actuators and other equipment with computers, control systems or monitoring systems to Implement data collection, control and communication. Specifically, it is the Rack Interface Module (RIM), the primary interface to the 3500 RIM that supports specialized protocols for setting up the rack and obtaining machine data.
Each rack slot must contain a RIM (close to the power supply) that is compatible with TDXnet, TDIX and DDIX Bently Nevada external communications processors. Although the RIM performs some tasks shared by the entire rack, it is not an important component of the monitoring system and has little impact on the normal operation of the entire system. One RIM is required per rack. For applications using triple modular redundancy (TMR), the 3500 system requires the TMR version of RIM. In addition to performing all other normal RIM operations, the TMR RIM performs a "Monitor Channel Compare".
In addition, the module is equipped with a configuration key lock for switching the 3500 rack between "RUN" and "PROGRAM" modes. RUN mode prevents configuration modifications while allowing the rack to operate normally. Program mode supports local and remote rack configurations as well as standard rack operation.
Please note that although this module has high reliability, anti-interference and protection characteristics in industrial environments, relevant operating and maintenance guidelines must be followed when installing and using it to ensure its normal operation and extended service life.
